Glock 17 40 Caliber - I bought a G23 Gen 3 a few months ago and it has become my favorite gun, and I own several. I also picked up a 9mm conversion barrel, so I can shoot 40s&w or 9mm, and it's a great gun to carry around or use as a range toy. If you are considering the G19, I would consider going with the G23 and the barrel conversion. This gun can be converted to shoot 4 different calibers (it comes in 40 s&w, you can get a 9mm or .357 conversion barrel, and you can also get a .22lr conversion kit for that). An all around awesome weapon! I highly recommend this gun.
I like the grip of the Gen 4 better than the Gen 3. It feels more secure in the hand. The size 23 is comfortable to carry, but large enough to absorb recoil and provide a long sight picture. I also like the idea of the conversion barrel for the .357 Sig. In my opinion, you can't beat a Glock.

In fact, I tend to despise glocks. They were big, big weapons that didn't fit in my hand. Recently my wife was looking for one and we went to the store and I was looking at the salesperson who put the gen 4 in my hand and it felt like a glove. After a little research I found out they modeled the gen 4 after the 1911 grip I love the 1911 but I also love that I can customize the glock. So the 23 gen 4 is probably the last gun I buy until it's destroyed.

The first Glock I ever owned and it was my #1 gun to pick up. Fast, smooth and reliable. I have many different semis from different manufacturers and this is the best I have ever shot. You'll need it with a spring kit and barrel, but even out of the box I'm getting consistent 5" groups at 9-12 yards. Thanks.
I bought a Gen 3 a few years ago. I still love the gun today. I want to get a Gen 4 one day, but I haven't felt the need to get one yet. I loved that I got out of work when I was in the police force. It's not too big and still holds a decent amount of rounds. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to carry concealed.
I love it I had a 5th gen G19, my friend encouraged me to switch. EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE. Fits all my Glock 19 holsters with no problems. It can also shoot 9mm. I think it's great!
Tried the Glock 23 and immediately fell in love, great gun and feel different. A lot of recoil was expected but it's average in quality, it's a great gun. This is not my first Glock, I have a G17, G19, G23, G30SF and G45, but my G23 looks different.

I bought it and didn't throw it away for over 2 years. shame on me until I retired and met my new friend. I changed the spring, this made a big difference. This glock 23 is gen 4. I put a large XS dot sight on it. Now I like it, it is very fast. Bam and there you are. I installed a blacklisted barrel and Johnny Glock trigger. I put a lot of fire, this is evident when I go to the field. There is a book called Navy Seal shooting, by Chris Sajnog,. I learned a lot, about how to shoot. chris sajnog was a sea shooting coach. Money well spent. you can't go wrong with this Glock 23. It does everything a handgun should do. Now you have to do your part and learn how to use it. Hope this helps CBH
I bought a Glock 31 caliber Sig 357 with a magazine. I bought some Sig 357 mags from Gun Broker but the dealer said they don't have mags so to make a long story short he went out and bought me (2) 40 gauge mags and assured me they would work in the 357. a gun. So I bought a 40 ACP caliber barrel. I now had a Sig 357 and a 40 ACP pistol with 3 magazines. Then I bought a 9mm barrel conversion and (3) 9mm magazines, so from buying one gun and a few extras I now have 3 different guns. Glock RULES!!!!!!! Next I get the 22LR conversion.

An excellent replica of a real gun. However, it is 1mm wider than its original counterpart. It fires faster than expected and is the most accurate CO2 gun I own. Although the visuals appear to be disabled and cannot be adjusted. It's a great way to practice instead of shooting my real glock. I equipped it with a combo flashlight and laser and with the laser sight on it it was consistent as far as BB guns go. Overall you are really satisfied with the weight function. As others have said, it feels heavy, but so far I haven't had any problems with it. Yes, the trigger is my biggest complaint, but it is what it is. I found a spare magazine which makes it great to practice with.
This Glock 17 is probably the best silencer I own, not because it is anything too special but because it is responsive when handled.
I love this gun! It has a very good feel and is not too difficult to hold for a long time. The punch we get when the first shot is fired is delicious.

Mag failed after only 6 months. The warranty is only 3 months. I only put 2 rounds of C02 into this gun before air started leaking around the metal plate that holds the o-ring in place. A little slide fit. The greatest difficulty.
This gun is very disappointing, first of all the gun is too big near the barrel which causes it to move and release making noise. Second, the trigger is the worst I have ever fired. The third is that the magazine is very difficult to load. As I have many air guns. I think Glock will be very disappointed with this. I heard gen4 is better. But I would go with a beretta, or an EAA 1911 tango.
The magazine is a real pain to load, the trigger is horrible. And the slide spins like a piece of junk.

It's nice to have a recoil version over the Glock 19. The recoil isn't full and doesn't lock up after the last shot, and it's a little noisy, but it moves in the right direction, so I give it a 5. I'm looking forward to the Gen 4 with full recoil and maybe a pellet. Safety in a bad place if you mount a flashlight or laser under the rail...it needs to be removed. Overall I am happy with this addition to my collection.

They don't have full rebound and are noisy. Appearances are easy to see but not fixable. Poor safety condition when using rail.
